Vision Statement

Luke 4:16-19

16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

My vision for this church is that we implant verses 18 & 19 into our hearts. Jesus spoke these words, not only fulfilling the scripture as stated in verse 21, but also giving us instructions of how to preach and live the gospel.

Man’s religion and legalism has distorted this passage of scripture. We have preached without the anointing, seeking the rich. We have avoided the broken hearted because of a lack of faith in healing. We’ve been a part in people becoming captive because we have never been delivered. We’ve blinded people with pride because of our lack of vision. We’ve taken the liberty to bruise the unbruised, expecting people to accept the Lord and all we get is people that are full of spiritless preaching, striving for riches, broken hearted, captive to religion, blind to spiritual things and so bruised that they could not recognize liberty, nor could they accept it, because they never really come face to face with Jesus. It is time that we stand for the words of Christ, become anointed with His Spirit, accept His healing power, be delivered from legalism, claim spiritual sight, and embrace His liberty. For there is most certainly favor in His sight when we obey Him. There can be no bias or conditional love toward one another in the house of the Loved One. We must be empowered with His non-biased and unconditional love that comes to us by His Spirit that we can receive afresh daily.

We cannot look at people with a hidden agenda in our heart. We must be compassionate and non-judgmental. That does not mean that we adopt sin but we adopt the sinner. We introduce people to the Ruler and not the rule.

There is a big job to do. We must be, as a church, locked into the same vision that Christ proclaimed, that He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Church, let us have faith in God and He will establish His faith in the people!
